In 2024 Gerry Anderson was awarded a posthumous Outstanding Contribution to Music Award at the NI Music Prize.

The presentation also included the announcement of a bursary for musicians set up by family and friends of the much loved legendary radio broadcaster and musician.

Supported by IMRO applications for the Bursary were opened in 2025.

The shortlist has now been announced and the winning act will be revealed on 12th November at the NI Music Prize at the Ulster Hall.
